VitaFlex utilizes a unique technology that is used for creating cross-directional soft stretch elasticity with thermally bonded nonwovens. This revolutionary technology is latex-free and utilizes no elastomeric polymers. It provides a process for treating fabrics at high speeds, cost-effectively creating a wide range of practical cross stretch/elastic fabrics with unique performance characteristics. Examples include polypropylene spunbond and SMS fabrics with up to 70% recovery at 150% elongation, and higher stretch fabrics with up to 400% elongation.
VitaFlex elastic nonwoven technology greatly expands the use of conventional nonwoven fabrics in making many innovative and higher quality products by eliminating the use of latex/rubber straps and simplifying the production process, thus dramatically lowering the cost.
